Wednesday -- 90 degrees at PJs

Tommy's lovely mom and sweet Aunt Ann came in today to help me make sure everything is placed right. We went for a lunch and had such a nice visit. The chairs and tables from Ireland cane in and we all went up to take a look...

I LOVE these ladies!!

Panorama of the whole mural -- sorry about the glare!

Pat -- the odd-looking thing on the left will be the front of the old chapel at Fahy. Aunt Ann says there's no roof and it's long deserted. I thought it would look cool with the gravestones around it. Also, note that there are 2 Cleary's on the right. Let me know which spot you like better. The cows and sheep will be in that spot just below and to the right of the Campbell house. They're drawn, you just can't see them in the photo... Moo

Rainy Sunday

Worked on the Colonial Boy sign some more today and laid out the grid for Celtic knotwork on Kathleen's Kitchen. Got a general layout on the big mural of Ballycroy put in, but I'm trying to hold off on painting anything in, until I can talk to Tommy's Aunt Ann. Everyone says that she's the expert on precisely where everything is actually located.
A lot more tile work is done. I like the green ones. The blue ones seem to me to be 'off ' somehow.

Window side of the bar is almost done.

The Quilted Table

TJay's tabletop just came home. Rick planed it for him and now it's ready for filler and final sanding. Oak, poplar and black walnut.
Just freaking beautiful!!!

Sundays Clouds

Worked on the sky over Croagh Patrick some more. Much like Cleveland, the mountain is now covered with clouds. I took some heat over a couple of other murals of Ireland, because my skies were too clear and blue! :)

Obviously, there's more work to be done on the clouds. Will strike out early in the morning. Tomorrow will be back in the 90s -- muggy and yucky again.

Guinness Guy is Done! (maybe)

Got up early, early, early to beat the heat. I headed right for PJs and got to work on the Guinness Guy. It's awesome to work without the sound of saws and hammers. Yay! Here's what I got done done today...
As if it's not bad enough getting the eyes perfectly symetrical...much harder when the face is five feet wide!
See how delerious I look after working on those big eyes?
Face drawing done -- more or less...
The Little Orphan Annie stage of the painting.
Now it's starting to creep me out a little...
Almost there...

Some highlights and it's all done -- well at least until I look at it again and decide to 'fix' something tomorrow...

Friday Work at PJs

Painted some today, but the heat knocked me out. Thought I was gonna do a header off the ladder... In the 90s again today. Face goes on the pint tomorrow -- hope it's not so freakin' hot!

Nothing like painting a 7-foot pint of Guinness to make you REALLY thirsty! There's one of the 3 sets of taps too.

Big beer...

Dayton and Paul are getting the stage floor going.
